Sun MySQL

Pada tanggal 16 Januari 2008 kemarin, Sun Microsystem, Inc. secara resmi mengakuisisi MySQL.

Sebagai informasi tambahan, pada November 2005 lalu, Sun juga melakukan "support" terhadap database opensource lainnya, yaitu PostgreSQL.

Dalam blog Jonathan Schwartz dituliskan bahwa Sun "Helpings Dolphins Fly", semoga hal ini menjadi kenyataan dikemudian hari.
